Gardens exude peace while growing through storms.
Thunder scares us. But, not flowers. They soak in water from the same storms.

Their beauty is not achieved without disorder.
Neither is ours if we see through the chaos.
Whether it be physical or mental suffering, three treasures await for those who look.
1. Look outside your cage
Remember the first time riding a bike, skates or skis?
You were petrified.
But, something clicked when you embraced the skill.
Success settled in.
How? Act as if you can and you will.
“This was the theory upon which I went. There were all kinds of things of which I was afraid at first, ranging from grizzly bears to ‘mean’ horses and gunfighters; but by acting as if I were not afraid I gradually ceased to be afraid. Most can have the same experience if they choose.” Theodore Roosevelt
The as if principle frees us from being trapped by fear.
March past the ghost and watch peace unfold as your confidence grows.
2. Prudence wipes out fear
Fear has an uncanny way of saying, “See! I tested you and you are afraid again!”
Fear herds us into a jail of perception and slams the door.
Wouldn’t it be great to walk out?
Simply replace the paranoia with prudence.
Good judgement.
There’s a coin of wisdom in an old proverb.
“Prudence is a fountain of life to the prudent, but folly brings punishment to fools.” Proverbs 16:22
Fear never . . .
- wrote a novel
- built a business
- saved the child in distress
Courage does. Judgement does.
Feelings come and go.
But, prudence wipes out fear.
3. Supernatural peace
It’s not the lack of storms that keep our horrors at bay.
It’s how we tap into higher power when fear collides our spa.
That’s why I creatively pursue time with God outside.
The most common command by Jesus lifts fear off our back.
- “Don’t be afraid” Matthew 10:31
- “Take courage” Matthew 9:2
- “Don’t be afraid” Luke 8:50
- “Take courage” Matthew 14:27
- “Do not fear” Matthew 10:28
- “Do not fear” Luke 12:32
- “Don’t . . . be troubled” John 14:1
- “Don’t be afraid” Matthew 17:7
Fear may cover the world but God opens a door.
That door is his Son.
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
Only God secures calm in the midst of maddening peril.
Listen to Erica Kirk on Charlie’s assassination.
“God’s love was revealed to me on the very day my husband was murdered … Even in death, I could see the man that I love. … I also saw this: I saw on his lips the faintest smile. And that told me something important. It revealed to me a great mercy from God in this tragedy. … There was no pain. There was no fear. No agony.” Erica Kirk/CBN/09/21/2025
Courage, prudence and faith are the marks of greatness.
What is your impression of Erica Kirk’s response so far?
