Before you quit: Remember three keys to breakthrough

Face it. Sometimes you wanna quit.

Ever feel like you’ve solved a problem, and it pops right up again?

survivors don't quit

Bob Wieland’s disability is obvious.

But, he doesn’t quit.

Mine is not so obvious. A nerve issue.

Two years ago, I had a neuropathy flare-up, and I thought, “What else can I do?”

Reminds me of the three keys for triggering breakthroughs.

We need them so we don’t lose heart.

#1 Don’t Quit: Ask Questions

2 1/2 years ago, my nerves went off like firecrackers.

I had no idea what was going on.

Nerve pain like this makes you wanna quit.

Seeing my doctor poured gasoline on my despair.

But, I always hang onto one idea when I need a breakthrough.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1: 5

Hang onto the word “ask” for a minute.

“Ask, and you shall receive. Seek, and you shall find.” Matthew 7:7

Reminds me of the cowboy scout who came back empty.

“Ya didn’t go fer enuf,” said the old ranch foreman.

That includes asking God for wisdom.

Asking God questions puts us into the “anything is possible” domain.

Lots of folks just don’t go there or lack the faith and patience.

I relate. It’s hard to be patient with pain.

But I believe God gives wisdom if you ask.

I’m happy to report that answers come, and so does healing.

#2 Don’t Quit: Stay Curious

Faith fuels curiosity.

Curiosity fuels questions that give helpful answers.

Always remember . . .

  • Questions are the answer.
  • Questions find cures.
  • Questions rescue.

Just depends on how many questions you ask and to whom.

One of my answers came through a Google search. A device called the ReBuilder delivers a 7.83 Hz healing frequency, the natural pulse of our planet.

The inventor, Harvard grad David Phillips, was motivated to find an answer for his father’s neuropathy twenty years ago. So he designed a device that repolarizes and reeducates the nerves to follow correct paths. It reconnects injured nerves with a healthy nerve signal.

It worked when I used it. But I quit after feeling good!

Neuropathy started up again.

The electronic device works, but I was still missing a piece of the puzzle.

Asking questions brought an unexpected answer from a functional medicine doctor.

#3 Don’t Quit: Pay Attention

The truth is, a healthy life requires a lot of attention. Attention is a way to find healing and survive.

A casual conversation with my brother pointed me to the Tennant Institute for Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Jerald Tennant, MD, UT Southwestern, and founder of the Dallas Eye Institute, has written numerous books on integrative medicine after curing himself of encephalitis.

He teaches that your body is like a cell phone.

It loses power every day and needs to be . . .

  • recharged with voltage
  • restored with nutrients

Chronic disease sets in when organs and nerves leak voltage.

Odd, but makes sense.

I never thought of the human body as one big battery.

Dr. Tennant explains why you need fresh voltage and fresh nutrients every day.

He says your body is made up of muscle battery packs. And just like a flashlight, if one battery is reversed, it shorts out the circuit, setting off all kinds of symptoms.

Root causes include . . .

  • scars
  • dental infections
  • toxins
  • emotions

The right kind of electrical stimulation fixes the battery packs, and the right nutrients promote healthy cell growth.

Four weeks into this regimen, and I’m grateful my neuropathy disappeared.

How about you? What’s your favorite breakthrough story?
