Kids remind me why God is a fisherman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It happened this past weekend on our dock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connor, age 10, jumped with glee when the large fish hit the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s a jumbo!” shouted his 8 year old brother Benjamin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I wanna catch a fish!” yelled 5 year old Harry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boys saw something we should see everyday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Bait from God<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lakes and oceans are loaded with wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joy oozing around God’s works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glory be to God for dappled things
For skies of couple-color as a brinded cow;
For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim;
Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls; finches’ wings;
Landscape plotted and pieced–fold, fallow, and plough;
And all trades, their gear and tackle and trim.
All things counter, original, spare, strange;
Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?)
With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim;

Many folks suffer darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They don’t see wonder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, fishing<\/a> flings us there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We see . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
