he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. &nbsp;While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew&#8217;s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.<\/strong> &nbsp;(Mat 9:9-10)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Within minutes of accepting the invitation, Matthew sponsors&nbsp;a dinner party at his house. &nbsp;He invites, of course, all his friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but I have found the best parties to be those heavily attended by sinners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the kind of gatherings our guest speaker frequented because he understood their passion about . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">money<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">security<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">fulfillment<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">happiness<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"261\" height=\"259\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.steveblaising.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jewish-coin-depicting-Templ.jpg\" alt=\"Jewish coin depicting the temple\" class=\"wp-image-751 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.steveblaising.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jewish-coin-depicting-Templ.jpg 261w, https:\/\/blog.steveblaising.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Jewish-coin-depicting-Templ-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 261px) 100vw, 261px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Within minutes of Matthew&#8217;s dinner party, Jesus . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>raises a synagogue leader&#8217;s daughter from the dead<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>heals a woman&#8217;s twelve-year-old bleeding problem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>restores the sight of two blind men<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>makes a mute man speak<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>. . . all of which the tax collectors and sinners are not expecting to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our special guest, Jesus, left these first-century financial advisers stunned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;They went out and spread the news about him all over that region. &nbsp;The crowd was amazed and said, &#8216;Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.'&#8221;<\/strong> (Mat 9: 31-33)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-investment-offer-no-one-should-refuse\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Investment offer, no one should refuse<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here comes the investment offer, which has moved from Matthew&#8217;s house to the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. . .&#8217;The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.
