Her testimony has changed my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After reading her books and reflecting on what she says about hope, I see three proven relievers for overcoming despair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-1-recognize-your-capacity-for-hope\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">1.<\/mark> Recognize your capacity for hope<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An aspiring actress at 25 and married to her college beau, Katherine Wolf had it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Looks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, on a plain ordinary Monday, while making lasagna, Katherine screams for her husband, Jay, and instantly, they plunge into the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.steveblaising.com\/content\/blow-out-of-your-hole-through-these-escape-hatches\/\">opening hole<\/a> of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a sixteen-hour micro-brain surgery and five human-body quantities of blood, Katherine barely survives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Up next?  A long journey through ICU, then rehab, and endless trips to hospitals after multiple falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another speech, she stunned everyone from her wheelchair on the stage, raising her voice, \u201cYou have a stunning capacity to do incredibly hard things because of Jesus in your story.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-2-hope-is-a-living-force\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">2. <\/mark>Hope is a living force<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Jesus in your story&#8221; means your foundation is in God, not wind-shifting circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kathryn Wolf preaches hope as a continuous cycle from hurt to healing to hope over and over again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She doesn&#8217;t see hope as an arrival point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope is a pulsating force from a living person, Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;Behold, I stand at the door and knock. No. But hope beyond imagination arrives in power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The power of a new faith and a new life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.&#8221;<\/strong> John 1:4-5<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The key to keep going?
